PIAMS is the brainchild of its founder/chairman Capt. Suhail Baluch who conceptualized it as a quality-conscious academic institute for conducting BS (BA) / MBA Aviation Management programs in aviation sciences and management. This pioneering endeavor is the first of its kind not only in Pakistan but also in the region. PIAMS is registered under the Sindh Private Educational Institutions (Regulation & Control) Ordinance 2001. The Institute gained this recognition on 3′ August, 2011 from the Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh.

PIAMS is affiliated with University of Karachi and is Pakistan’s first institute which is offering BS (BA) / MBA (Aviation Management programs in the field of aviation & management sciences). In due course, the Institute will gain accreditation of reputed international universities offering degrees in aviation management. PIAMS is a bold and unique venture by Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association (PALPA), supported and recognized by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and the national flag carrier, PIA. P1AMS’ air-conditioned building is situated in a peaceful and posh area of Karachi in proximity to British Consulate.

PIAMS courses have been designed with input from international aviation sources including regulatory bodies and aviation industry practices. The syllabus is targeted towards professional managers who work or aspire to work in aviation related environment.

Because of continual changes in practices and procedures, PIAMS will continue to update and upgrade its syllabi and curriculum to ensure currency with international standards. Our aim is to produce professionals of the highest caliber, whose qualifications will be recognized throughout the world of aviation.

The teaching staff at PIAMS would refer to case studies and cite examples from personal experiences. Graduating students of PIAMS will have a distinct recruitment edge and will be adequately qualified to demonstrate a high level of professional prowess to potential employers. BS (BA) / MBA Aviation Management programs at P1AMS are geared to develop students’ technical abilities, impart communication skills, and sharpen their analytical abilities. PIAMS programs also include educational visits to aviation related corporate environments. Visiting faculty from the industry will also be a regular feature of BS (BA) / MBA Aviation Management Program.
